Calendar Shifts In KCRM define the Availability windows where your calendars are open for booking appointments.

With a few exceptions, shifts help restrict bookings to those set hourly boundaries, keeping everything organized and efficient.

In this video, you'll learn how to efficiently create and manage shifts for your calendars.

Let's get started.

First, head to the Calendar module, then click on Settings and select Shifts from the panel on the left.

Use the Week Displayed selector to navigate to the starting point where you want to create your shift, or click Go to this Week to go to your current week.

In the table below, you'll see all your active calendars listed.

Hover over a cell in one of the calendars until you see the Circle plus icon, then click it.

Then click Add Shift from the menu.

The Add Shift panel will slide in from the right, showing the calendar name along with the selected date.

Set the shift by choosing the Start and end times.

Optionally, click Add Break and enter Description like lunch over the default one, you can change the start and end times.

You can add up to five breaks per shift, so keep going if you need.

If the shift applies to other days, click Does Not Repeat.

In the Repeat Shift prompt, check the days under the Repeat on and enter how many weeks to repeat it for.

Use the Repeat Every field to skip weeks.

For example, enter two for the shifts to repeat every other week, then click Continue.

If other calendars share the same schedule, use the Also Applied to section and select them.

Or you can click All Calendars to apply it everywhere.

At this point, the system creates the shifts and repeat the processes.

For any other shifts you need to modify an existing shift, simply hover over a day with a shift in a specific calendar.

For booking time off like vacations or statutory holidays, hover over an empty cell and click on the Circle + icon.

In the panel, choose the vacation type from the drop down, then click Does Not Repeat, Select Days and How many weeks, then hit Save.

Sometimes you need to delete a one off shift or a whole date range, like when someone leaves the team.

Hover over the day, click Options, then click Delete.

For just that single day, you can just click Delete.

But for a range, select Range and choose the range from the picker, then click Delete.

That will clear out your shifts you no longer need.

Last, but not least, to tweak the Scheduler view by expanding or contracting the displayed hours, click the Hour range In the top right corner, choose your Start and end times.

Make sure it covers all your shifts and maybe a bit extra.

For example, if the earliest open time for your Clinic is at 10am and the latest closing is at 6pm, then you want to set the start and end times from 9 to 7.
